It's my friend Cherie's 30th Birthday today. She been through a rough few months so I hope she has a great day!
Turning 30 was a rough day for me. Mike and I were not in a good place at the time so there was no really big celebration. He more then made up for it for my 31st.
It's amazing how time creeps up on you. I always thought by the time I was 30 I would be married with many kids and have a successful career. After all my parents were like that.
Well now I'm 32.....I've just started what I would call my career and I just got engaged. ..the wedding is the day after my 33rd birthday.
So I'm three years behind on my life plan. But you know what, I'm ok with that. I see many people get married young and have kids young and it doesn't always work. So i'm glad I took my time made sure the Mike and I were solid and that I have started a good career path. Mind you if Mike had awaited any longer I'm not sure I would have gone for the whole formal wedding idea...the thought of being over 34 in a white wedding dress wasn't sitting right with me!

Thanks Megan for the birthday wishes. It was a nice day, not a bad way to turn 30. Im so happy for you that your life is finally going the way you want. Enjoy every minute of the next months to come, they are priceless.
